Asymmetric skirt … what to wear this week

Asymmetric skirt … the low down.

For me the asymmetric skirt is the perfect mash up between mini and midi. You know those days when you can’t quite decide whether you’re in the mood for an over the knee number or feel like channeling a little more ladylike? Well – meet your new best friend, the asymmetric skirt.

Not only does it fix those indecisive sartorial worries, it also works a treat on slimming down your silhouette. Thanks to the genius of the asymmetric design, the eye is fooled into believing that there’s a lot less of you underneath the garment than you thought. Throw in the clever stripe detail of this cute Mango asymmetric skirt, and we are talking serious slimcea points here people.

Asymmetric skirt … how to wear it.

I like to play neutrals off with the odd pop of colour so I’ve paired this Mango asymmetric skirt with this awesome Christopher Kane biker jacket (currently on sale at The Outnet) I like the way the jacket nips in the waist leaving the flirty flare of the skirt to take centre stage.

I’ve added a J.Crew boyfriend sweater – of which I confess to having at least 6 in various colour ways… but they are seriously great closet classics which you can work with so many outfits that the more you have the merrier for sure.

The Alexander Wang heels are a style steal (again from The Outnet) whilst the French Connection hobo bag has just enough metallic glint to make it a good workwear to weekend piece.
