Chanel No.5 goes large in Paris

As if they don’t get enough publicity from legions of eager celebrity fans falling over themselves to endorse the brand, Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld have taken new advertising measures this month.

From January 6th – 28th a huge Chanel No.5 bottle is covering the side of the Musee D’Orsay in Paris. Made from 1,200 hand assembled sequins and covering 2,890 square feet of the Museum as reported in WWD recently, this is an advert of mammoth scale.

I’m wondering whether Mr Lagerfeld is showing off the size of his talent or the size of his ego with the installment…
