Choc chunk ice cream recipe
It’s always a good time to eat ice cream, especially this no-churn version that can be prepared ahead and stored in the freezer until ready to serve. Experiment with flavours in the Tips section, and you’ll have an ice cream for every occasion!
You will need…
400g tin condensed milk
600ml double cream
1 tsp vanilla essence
150g dark chocolate chopped
Here’s what to do…
- Put the condensed milk, cream and vanilla essence in a bowl and whisk until thick.
- Stir in the chocolate chunks, and spoon into a large loaf tin
- Cover with cling film and freeze until ready to serve.
Alternative flavours: Chopped stem ginger, adding a little of the ginger syrup, Pureed raspberries/strawberries/blackcurrants. Mint flavouring and chopped pistachios, crumbled honeycomb…or make up your own favourite variety!!
Next week look out for my rich chocolate tart, which can be served with this ice cream for a sweet treat!
