Glitter shoes – party season must-have

It might be a little early to be thinking about the party season, but the fashion industry doesn’t believe in sticking to festive timetables, so you may have noticed a slew of twinkling glitter shoes popping up in stores recently. If you love a party shoe as much as I do, then these sparkly cuties have got your name all over them.

I snapped up these Miu Miu sparklers as soon as I saw them winking at me from Net-a-Porter. They appeared in my recent Fair Isle knits post, but only took a minor role, and as they are soooo the statement shoe of the season, I thought they could do with another outing on the blog. I love the not-too-high block heel on these glitter shoes, as well as the fact that you can pair them with anything from jeans by day and cocktails dresses by night – who doesn’t love a versatile statement shoe?

The key to showing off your glitter shoes to their best advantage is to let them do the talking, Wear with a paired back outfit in autumns neutral tones for maximum glam points, or work your full on Dorothy does Wizard of Oz by pairing with a small dog, gingham dress and wicker picnic basket.
