I love a little layering as much as the next girl, and I’m not averse to some dark neutral tones in the winter too – Nicholas K gave us that in spades today at the first show which kicked off Mercedes Benz Fashion Week here in New York.
I loved, loved, loved this simple sheath that looked like it was cut on the bias just so, letting it sashay as the model walked the runway.
Some pieces were a tad too super goth for my taste but I reckon that was a styling issue – if you were to snag an individual piece from any of the overtly layered looks and pair with something a little less busy, it would definitely earn a spot as a wardrobe staple.
Most of all I loved the boots by the Custom Vintage Shoe Company – over the knee numbers with a perfect slouch – yes please, mines a size 39.
