Interior inspirations … Scandi simplicity

I love heading to New York to catch up with friends, but one of the other kicks I get out of spending a week with my old buddies is actually checking out their interior inspirations, to see how tastes differ across the pond.

Take my lovely Danish friend Kirsten MacDonald, who spends her days scoping out mid-century Scandinavian must-haves with auction house Bruun Rasmussen, offering her clients access to own some seriously covetable pieces not normally found in the USA.

From her delightful waterside home you can grab a taste of that clean Scandi style mixed with a vintage vibe.

The other bit I love about visiting Kirsten, is snooping around one of the many antique galleries hidden away just off the I95 in Stamford. She has some space at the Hiden Galleries where it’s easy to get lost peeking down every aisle full of vintage finds.
