Lizard Orchid Christmas
Last week I was invited by my friends over at Lizard Orchid, to step into their magical Christmas themed world. The online luxury home wares company, which recently launched to rousing plaudits, had come up with the genius idea of creating a Christmas house with all their lovely goods.
Forget decking the halls with boughs of holly, these guys meant business. Once they’d transformed an already beautiful West Sussex residence into an ultra luxe version of Santa’s grotto – which I think Mrs Claus would quite like to step right into, ditching the harsh conditions in the North Pole for some fine Egyptian cotton bedsheets and fluffy faux furs… the Lizard Orchid christmas house was open for business.
It was like stepping into a set from the final scene of White Christmas. Beautiful baubles piled high in bowls and dangling from winter displays, Christmas crackers stacked on a deliciously decadent dining room table, a few of which had been pulled so we could espy the lavish treats inside.
Loved these cute little fellas who were being snapped up left, right and centre…
Once I’d made a mental note of all the Christmas deccies I definitely required this season, I made my way upstairs to see the bedroom collections. It had been a busy week and it was all I could do to stop myself snuggling right up in amongst the sumptuous bedspreads and throws, let alone pop my tootsies into their divine Alpaca bedsocks.
I took a quick pit stop to stock up on a few calories… after all a gal can’t be expected to be at her shop-tastic best on an empty stomach right?
Before circling back and checking out the faux furs, shams, and other beautiful things tastefully displayed in the rooms.
As the Christmas tunes filtered through the rooms, I wasn’t alone in feeling a little festive.
What was great about the event was having the whole Lizard Orchid team on hand to talk us through the remarkable stories behind each hand-crafted item, as well as filling us in on the artisans behind them.
It was a truly magical evening. Huge thanks to the Lizard Orchid team for the invite.
