MiH Jeans … weekend must haves

MiH Jeans: The History

It’s fair to say I’m a new convert to MiH jeans. I came upon them during one of my trawls through my fab local Donna Ida store when I had half given up hope of ever finding a pair of jeans that were not the price of a small sports car. I’ve clearly been spoiled in New York where the likes of J.Brand and AG Jeans are as cheap as chips. Trying to buy them over here at a sensible price is like trying to get a first time buyers mortgage. So imagine that swoon of relief when I spotted my first pair of MiH Jeans and  I could afford them to boot.

MiH Jeans is one of those great British brands (originally known as Made in Heaven) which started out in 1969 with the mission to provide the most perfect-fitting, leg-lengthening jeans in the business. Fast forward to today and the founder’s goddaughter, Chloe Lonsdale has taken up the helm. She is setting about revolutionizing the brand into one that not only provides sophisticated beautifully tailored jeans, but also all the other must haves which make up the perfect capsule collection, like shirts and tees and limited edition pieces.

How to wear it for the weekend.

For me the weekend jean is all about the boyfriend jean. I spend all week dressing up and heading into fashion events and press days so it’s such a great feeling to throw on a pair of my fave jeans at the weekend and not have to think uptown dressing. It’s not all about the tomboy look obvs – once a stylist always a stylist. So my top MiH jeans picks for the weekend also include this fun ‘The Tails’ shirt and this awesome MiH Jeans men’s blazer I found on sale at The Outnet. Throw in a handful of tonal accessories which don’t involve much cranial ache in the high fashion stakes, and you have weekend wear pegged.
