Pastel Coat … my spring obsession continues.
So, is it just me who is utterly smitten with all this pastel coat malarkey popping up in stores right now? Or is there a collective sigh from everyone else when they spot the beautiful hues winking at them from shop fronts as we saunter by? My obsession with all things pastel seems to be cranking up a notch – especially on days like today when the sun was shining and I happened to be on the Kings Road with gal pals.
One small step across the threshold of the Zara store in Duke of York Square in Chelsea, and my eyes fell upon this little lemon leather beauty which had to be mine. That’s not to say there weren’t a pile of other pastel coat choices to pick out. I bypassed a gorgeous pale pink biker jacket as well as a couple of mint coloured car coats on my way to the check out, so this pastel thing is clearly a bandwagon to jump on – especially in the form of high street high fashion pieces, which look great but don’t cost you an arm and a leg.
Pastel coat … how to wear it.
Colour abounds for the spring season, so you can work your pastel coat in just about any way you fancy. I personally favour keeping my pastel hues together, so will be pairing my lovely yellow coat with a little bejeweled boy shirt from J.Crew and these A.L.C. pale blue pants on sale right now at The Outnet.
There are a pile of metallic accessories around for the season too, which work really well with the lighter shades, as does grey as a light neutral. I’m loving these J.Crew pointy metallic flats as well as this Club Monaco and Erickson Beamon collaboration bracelet.
