British Designers Collective … pops up at Bicester Village
There’s nothing I like more than a bit of shopping, so when I got the call to head to Bicester Village today for the British Designers Collective launch event, it was clearly my calling to attend. With the lovely Ellie Goulding in attendance as spokesperson, and Brit design talents like JW Anderson, Peter Pilotto and Mary Katrantzou promoting their brands on show, this event had fashionista fix written all over it.
Yasmin Sewell was on hand to introduce us to the beautifully curated pop-up shop, hosting new designers in the mix including Claire Barrow, Emilia Wickstead (love love love!) and J JS Lee, we had time to rifle the rails before heading out to check out the other delights i.e. serious premium designer stores at Bicester.
Now in its 5th year, the British Designers Collective is a unique collaboration between one of the Value Retail groups Chic Outlet Shopping Villages and the British Fashion Council. It pulls together top Brit designer talent under one roof, along with some newcomers deemed the next movers and shakers by curator Sewell.
The great and the good of fashion were shipped up to Bicester by train and enjoyed the delights of the on site refreshments.
Then there were all the delightful designs to ponder….
Prior to being let loose on the awesome shopping experience that is Bicester Village, I had the chance to chat to the lovely Carrie Harwood of Wish Wish Wish blogging fame…
All in all a fab day, with thanks to Bicester Village and Modus PR for their hospitality.
