There’s certainly a lot of negatives about living in Stepford – the omni presence of Lily Pulitzer clad ladies that lunch for one, the preppy blazer toting kids lining up for school buses for another, and don’t even start me on the bizarre male custom of wearing trousers with whales or dogs embroidered on them. But amongst all this weirdness you can always guarantee one thing, and that is that the stores in sunny Stepford will be jam packed with beautiful designer duds to ogle at – after all you’d never catch a Stepford wife without her designer label tag showing.
So on this sunny afternoon I was happy to see in my local Saks 5th Avenue that the awesome Jil Sander Spring Summer 11 collection (or at least a ferociously edited version of it) has hit the racks. With a suitably excessive price tag – the closest I’m getting to these pieces is a surreptitious snap on my iPhone.
Now where’s that Mega Millions lottery ticket…
