Pale blue …what’s the scoop?
We seem to be enjoying a bit of an Indian Summer over here in jolly old Blighty this week, making me a tad reticent to start throwing winter clothes on for London Fashion Week outfits later in the week. So I thought I’d pop a quick style advice post up about pale blue hues, and how exactly they can help you segue easily from summer to the cooler months headed our way soon.
Pale blue has had a bit of a moment, along with it’s pastel brethren, all summer. So what a delight not to have to bung it away in the back of your closet for the long winter ahead, but let it linger a little longer front and center in your outfit choices.
The great thing about any pastel trend which eeks its way into our winter wardrobes, is that they have a magical touch to them – like a little speck of fairy dust, a pastel tone can pretty up a dull winter neutral look in no time at all.
Pale blue … how to wear it.
Being ever practical – I’ve opted to show a winter coat in this edit, from the fabo new Best of British range at Marks and Spencer… (my mother would be so proud of me having my sensible shopping head on). My week ahead is a mad mix of press days, PR hook ups, street style photography and fashion shows, and as such I’m planning ridiculously practical looks. Plain tees and denims like this drapey tee from J.Crew paired with these super flattering MiH Jeans Paris cropped jeans are going to be the mainstay of my outfit choices.

A pair of Givenchy sunnies (currently on sale at The Outnet) will definitely be called for, as will this aforementioned Whistles clutch and a bit of statement bling from Kenneth Jay Lane to finish the look off.
