Perfect new season day to night dresses.
If you often head out straight after a full day at work or are needing the right look to segue from day to night, then just in the nick of time there’s a slew of new season day to night dresses which will have you covered. As dresses are having a bit of a moment in fashion right now – (see our earlier posts on how to work your summer maxi through to winter here), it’s an ideal outfit choice for the spring requiring very little styling and can have a little late night slink factor to boot. What with Valentines date night just around the corner, this could very well be the ideal choice.
I’m currently loving anything in chiffon or silk. Look for midi to maxi lengths with a little sheer detailing here or there and if you find a floral you love then you’ve hit SS18 on trend paydirt. I’m a big fan of mixing up styles too, and I’m not an avid dress wearer, so in order for this style to work for me I’ve mixed up the girly chiffon with some tougher leather. The dress is from Hush and is currently on sale. I’ve styled it here with a J.Crew leather jacket, Manu Atelier cross body bag (similar pastel shade here), J.Crew necklace (similar here) and Aquazzura heels.
Also whilst we are on the subject, if you haven’t nabbed yourself a little pastel yet for the new season, then it’s time to dive right in. By snapping up an accessory or two – think bags, shoes and even costume jewellery, this way you can throw a nod to the trend without breaking the bank.
