It’s not often a girl can go gaga over a single designer collection, but the recent Issa London presentation caught my attention, with it’s vibrant prints and feisty color choices.
The spring/summer 13 looks are a slightly more sassy take from Brazillian born designer Daniella Helayel. Grabbing our attention a few years ago for the K Middy engagement dress coup, she’s taken a season or so to move on, but seems to have nailed it for next summer.
From elegant onesy’s that make you want to book that St Barth’s yacht right away.
To Alaia inspired knit dresses that could keep a girl’s lumpy bits under control in even the hottest climate…
Of course there were the usual sleek tie front dresses that she has become famed for. This season in crayola crazy colors. But hey, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
She played with prints, from photo prints on shirts and tunics, to diaphonous white halter neck maxi’s sporting exotic blossoms around the hemlines.
Then apart from all this color assaulting the senses; in a good way. We saw embellishment with sequins and beading, adorning anything from necklines to midriffs, to the bottom of flippy sun dresses.
All in a bunch of looks that have an affordable price point. Looks like I’ve got my next season vacation wardrobe sorted.
