3 Ways to Wear the Pyjama Shirts trend.

If you’ve been keeping a weather eye on the trends of late, you may have spotted pyjama shirts have segued their way seamlessly from  AW18 through to the summer months, and I for one am very pleased to see it. There’s something uber luxe about a) wearing a silk or satin blouse any time of the year and b) wearing PJ’s any time of the day. Also, the era of the satin lounge suit is upon us, and it’s now perfectly acceptable to don your sleepwear for a night on the tiles as well as into the office. So it got me to wondering how we could work this look for all sorts of other occasions.

Here I’m wearing this oversized Mango pyjama shirt, jeans by J.Brand and shoes by Mango. The cute bag is from Nannacay from last summer but similar ones here this season.

You can snap up your pyjama shirts from all manner of places. And as they are so like the real thing, if you are having trouble tracking one down in your local high street store, take a peek at actual sleepwear designers and re-purpose your PJ top for daywear. Think Violet & Wren, Morgan Lane or Olivia Von Halle at Net-a-Porter.
