Being so close to Christmas and all, I figure a girl has to have her bases covered should the question “What do you want for Christmas?” crop up in conversation. Unfortunately ‘him indoors’ has adopted fiscal prudence as his new watchword, and currently I’ll be lucky to get a pair of stockings in my stocking.
Feeling duly demoralised by the Scrooge effect, a little Alexis Bittar email came tinkling into my inbox to cheer me up on this damp and foggy London morning.
I’ve picked up a few of his pieces over the years whilst based in New York, but had forgotten quite how delicious his designs can be. So here’s my wishlist for this week.
This fab collar – perfect for my upcoming festive party attire.
This gold petal African inspired cuff. Maybe it needs an outing on my wrist to one of the countless kids carol concerts this Holiday season has thrown at me.
Next up, this liquid gold layered ring. At a remarkably thrifty $125, this looks like an everyday keeper to me.
I don’t even have my ears pierced, but quite frankly, would be happy to submit to the pain if it meant a pair of these little cuties were nestling under my tree.
Taking a sneek peek forward to next season (via my newest trunk show obsession) www.ModaOperandi.com, I could of course snag some spring/summer 13 looks, with their genius layaway purchasing approach; pay half now and half next season prior to despatch. Maybe him indoors won’t even notice…
