The Lime Wood Hotel – afternoon tea treats.
I recently met up with lovely Amanda from The Online Stylist in one of her favourite haunts, The Lime Wood Hotel. She’s there so often she calls it her office, but I’d never been down to that neck of the woods so was keen to check out what all the buzz was about.
We popped in for a quick lunch before snapping a few shots for a project she was working on, but the thing that caught my eye (apart from the divine setting and interiors of course) was the afternoon tea on offer. Yes, I’m partial to a glass of fizz, but if you include a cake in that same eating plan, then I’m afraid you had me at Battenburg.
You can book full afternoon tea each day from 3-5pm, but you can also nab a delicious slice of cake anytime you drop in for a cuppa.
The Lime Wood Hotel is nestled in the heart of the New Forest and offers a spot of boutique luxury along with a mouth-watering menu and a heady selection of ways in which to indulge your foodie avarice. Their cookery school programme is chock full of ways to hone your cookery skills with an additional pop-ups schedule to keep you inspired, while their spa offers divine treatments to while away the aches and pains of everyday life during your visit.
I’m definitely putting it on my list for the annual escape from the kids which hubs and I have pencilled in the calendar each year.
