Why blue & white are vacation packing edit winners.
We’ve just returned from actual sunshine in Mykonos and as I’m ploughing through the washing if truth be told all I actually wore were the blue and white outfit combos that I packed. Maybe it’s something to do with my summer uniform being denim white and/or blue shorts so carrying on that colourway keeps me in my comfort zone, but there’s also a lot to be shopped out there in these neutral hues and are definitely worth considering for your next vacation packing edit.
A little like monochrome but with more of a preppy vibe, these two classic neutrals tend to work in any hot weather (particularly nautical) location. While a crisp wafty white linen or silk number looks great on the beach or strolling around the shopping districts when you add the sartorial gravitas of blue you’ve struck vacation packing pay dirt.
Johnny Was silk tops (similar here), J.Crew denim shorts.
And it seems I’m not alone in this revelation. My lovely holiday buddies were similarly attired throughout our stay sporting the same colourways.
Jesper wears shirt and shorts from J.Crew, Kirsten wears a dress from Project AJ117 and bag from Wood Grey.
It’s also not all about the clothing – you can also work this look right through to the accessories… this year particularly you can snap up some cute tassel and pom pom ear rings which are an easy last minute bung into your travel packing.

While staying in Mykonos we were at the amazing I Wish Mykonos Villa Daedalus – but more on that in an upcoming post.
