Bulgari Goldea Perfume

Last week we popped into the divine Bulgari store on Bond Street to hear all about the new Bulgari Goldea perfume which launches today. Since joining The Perfume Society as one of their VIP subscribers, I’ve got a whole lot more interested in trying to improve my sense of smell in order to try to define which perfumes I love and which I would rather leave in the back of a cupboard until I suddenly need an emergency gift for a girlfriend… (girlfriends you have been warned…) So when we got the call to try out this new fragrance I was super keen to check it out and practice my newfound skills.

A stylish crowd gathered, curious to see how renowned ‘nose’ and perfume creator Alberto Morillas had developed this new Eau de Parfum to complement the Bulgari style and transport us to a golden age. In line with the whole ‘gold’ theme, we were treated to delicious champagne and canapé treats complete with gold leaf decoration…

Author and Harrods gold expert Vincent Meylan was on hand to talk us through the evolution of all things gold and our fascination with it throughout history before we had the opportunity to try the fragrance for ourselves.

In perfume speak the top notes are a crystal musk, the heart notes are floral and the base notes are an ambery musk. With Victoria’s Secret model Isabeli Fontana as the face of the new fragrance, Bulgari Goldea definitely hits a luxurious and stylish note in the perfume market.
