Camel Hues.
There’s one perennial trend you can guarantee to swing around year on year, and that’s camel hues. It’s super easy to buy into on account of damn near every designer and brand offers up something in this neutral all-rounder around this time of year. I’ve been a long-term fan as it’s a classic and suits my pasty pallor, but it really can work for everyone.
If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you will already be aware of my slight fixation with wearing top-to-toe monochrome looks, and camel hues can also make use of this neat trick. By sticking to one colour throughout, you trick the eye into thinking that you’re a) taller and b) slimmer than you actually are… what’s not to love about that!
A well-structured coat also helps streamline the silhouette. This one from J.Crew is super warm too – definitely worth the investment. I’ve paired it with J.Crew cashmere knit and pants (similar here). The bag is Anya Hindmarch which I snapped up in the sales; shoes are Aquazzura.
