The ever creative Charlotte Olympia has quite literally knocked the ball out of the park this season with her eclectic mix of statement clutches. I’ve had a yen for her quirky pieces, ever since I went to her press day a few seasons back. As I was walked through the collection by one of her team, I didn’t quite know if the correct response was to gape in awe or giggle at the visual comedy in front of me.
Let’s face it, Charlotte Olympia has wit and wisdom in spades. Her shoe design reputation speaks for itself, but when it comes to her bags, not only can she design the most sublime pieces – we’re talking mega luxe clutches with ornate detailing, but she also manages to throw in her trademark humour to the mix.
