Oh dear – please beware all lovely Browns customers – Club Monaco is about to be launched in your yummy store. I’ve got nothing against the brand it’s just the mismatch of retail point.
Things may have changed some since being the other side of the pond, but my recollection of Browns was as an aspirational shopping destination that oozed luxury goods and divinely snooty retail assistants. Sadly with the inclusion of a Club Monaco line those poor retail gals will be feeling more like Next sales assistants.
Erin Mullaney the buying director at Browns mentioned “we’ll have newness every month…we think buy-now, wear-now collections are refreshing”
Shame she didn’t add “throw away once worn” to that little snippet…
