Digital print skirts – the skinny
There are a bunch of photo prints around on various garments from coats and dresses to skirts and tops for spring, but one of my favourites are the slew of digital print skirts which are flying out of stores right now.
Last spring I bought into the digital print skirts micro trend, with a deliciously in-your-face lime green floral print pencil from Tibi. This season designers have upped the ante and created oodles of digital prints, not just in run-of-the-mill florals we saw last year, but anything from lace – like this cute J.Crew skirt, to abstract arts, graphic patterns and even animal skin prints.
Digital print skirts … how to wear them.
As with any print, you need to pick the right size print to suit your proportions when tracking down these digital print skirts. If you are on the diminutive side, look for smaller details and patterns, whilst the more statuesque amongst us can opt for a larger print.
They make a bold statement in themselves, so don’t need to be hammed up anymore than necessary. I’ve paired my J.Crew lace digital print pencil skirt with this divine, but simple, Ted Baker jeweled neck sweater, a spring trench from French Connection and easy-for-the-office brogues by Alexander Wang.
To complete the look I added on a little ladylike luxe to glam up the pencil skirt, with a boxy bag from ASOS, and these awesome Elizabeth Cole earrings.
