How to switch up your interior for a summer ready look
I always like to spruce up my interiors every season to show the switch from winter to summer, and over the years I’ve adopted a couple of key tricks which don’t cost a packet and work like a charm. Here are a few of my easy summer interior switch ups to try out.
First up refresh your cushions. I’ve always been a bit of a Designers Guild hoarder but more recently have found Liberty London are pretty on trend for a seasonal cushion or two. I also love Casa Fina for great sale bargains – they’ve recently added Clarissa Hulse to their vast list of brands… hop on over to their website here and sign up for sale alerts.
Although my heart belongs to blue hues for most of the summer season, this Bluebell Grey cushion always makes me smile.
Use the same trick with lighter summer ready throws and bedding…
Obsessed with my Designers Guild oriental flower bedding.
Secondly, think about switching out some of your artwork to denote sunnier climes. We bought these two lovely abstract pieces when we lived in New York but since we’ve been back they haven’t quite found the right spot – this summer I’m mashing up my prints and pairing them with this awesome wallpaper.
Next up, bring flowers into the mix – nothing says change of season like a summer bouquet bursting with vibrant colours.
Finally – try changing the aroma of your home by mixing up your candle choices. In the winter, I tend to opt for richer, muskier tones from The White Company.. But for summer I’m loving their Wild Mint candle or this gorgeous and calming Neom Organics tranquility candle.
