Spring 14 Collection Review
If your summer is all about beaches, beach clubs and languishing around in sumptuous loose fitting silks, sipping a cocktail as the sun goes down, then the Etro Spring 14 collection is right up your alley.
Embracing the family penchant for all things paisley, designer Veronica Etro has delved into the archives and come up with one of her best collections to date. It’s all about muted paisley patterns working with a delightful pastel colour palette with a few funky twists thrown in.
The twists which made the collection stand out for me, were the subtle addition of metallic fringes and delicate chain mail. With that and the classic prints worked anew into fluid wearable shapes, it had you imagining yourself owning the boho beach babe vibe in the Maldives or swanning down the boardwalks in Miami.
The details
The devil is in the details as my mother likes to say – take a peek at some of this delicate workmanship.
As with any designer, price points are quite punchy, but with this collection you could easily score the same boho vibe by opting for their accessories.
From sparkly scarves and belts, to bags in the signature print, there’s no end of delicious items to choose from for next spring.
Whether you are in the pointy flats or chunky wedges summer shoe camp, Etro have got you covered for next summer.
Love these paisley totes – perfect for doubling up as a shopper or a beach bag.
And who can ever resist a sparkly evening bag? All you need add is some white linen pants, a floaty top and you will have cocktail hour pegged.
