Floral jeans … the low down.
In a weekend homage to all things Mother’s Day, where flowers abound, I thought it might be appropriate to take a peek at the floral jeans which are landing in stores right about now. I’m not talking those ridiculous crazed 80’s jeans that your dear old Ma might have squeezed you into, when you were heading to the Costa Brava for your annual bucket and spade… or was that just me…? This season floral jeans are all about the super skinny, the moody print and the artsy statement.
With the clocks going forward this Saturday (March 30th) in the UK by 1 hour, spring is definitely on the way, so floral jeans are the perfect weekend ready way to embrace the onset of one of my favourite seasons.
Floral jeans … how to wear them.
If you’re opting for a pair of floral jeans on the skinny side, like these fab 7 for all mankind numbers, there definitely has to be at least a slight heel involved in the shoe department. I love these Sophia Webster booties – her shoes might look like killer heels, but thanks to her canny design skills they are uber comfy. I wore a pair of her Riko sandals to a recent photoshoot with the gals from Buy My Wardrobe … seriously glam & comfy in one hit … keep an eye out on the blog for a post about the photoshoot coming soon.
I’m also loving the lace tops that are around for spring – definitely a warm weather smart staple. This J.Crew one is super sweet with a Victorian vibe about it.
For the rest of the outfit I’ve stuck to a pretty neutral pallette, as it’s the floral jeans doing all the talking.
