Grabble App … what’s the scoop?
As a stylist, I spend oodles of time tracking down all sorts of clothing for clients, from high street to high end. In the bad old days this used to involve traipsing around local shopping centres and malls, and checking out literally every collection in each store just to ensure I had a clear picture in my mind of what was out there. These days the mighty Internet has revolutionized the way we shop – and also saved me in the re-sole of shoes department. But with the advent of even more mobile wizardry coming down the line, I’m always keen to learn more. So when the folks at Grabble asked me to check out their new shopping app Grabble to see how it could work for me, I was definitely excited to play.
I’m getting quite savvy at shopping on my mobile on the go at the best of times, just last week I snagged a pair of Sophia Webster heels on sale before my train had trundled into Waterloo. If like me you’re one of those ‘need-it-in-my-life-as-soon-as-I’ve-spotted-it’ types, then mobile shopping is certainly going to be your NBF before long. So the idea of having a handy app to streamline my search process even more is a no-brainer.
Grabble is an online fashion platform with tons of brands which allows you to use a ‘Grab’ button to save all the looks and items you love and build a wishlist to shop. What’s even more genius is that it’s an intuitive little critter allowing you to sort preferences by category, style, brand and most importantly price. Then it figures out which brands you tend to lean towards and shows you those items, so making your shopping experience more tailored.
I found a bundle of things on the app which I hadn’t spotted before – a certain pair of lovely iridescent sandals with pom poms on winked at me…shhh don’t tell hubs…I’m saving them in ‘My Grab’ collection for a sale alert… Seriously I spotted all sorts of brands on there from Topshop to ASOS to Net-a-Porter and Selfridges… so many brands so much shopping to be done!
Grabble App … great for building wish lists
Whilst I was busy playing with the app this weekend, my daughter Millie and her buddies got all excited. They are all hitting sweet 16 this year so finding the perfect gift has been hot on their hit lists. Using the Grabble app I managed to figure out in a trice what was on Millie’s wish list
Being techie whizzes the Grabble App team also have a fun Instagram feed to follow @grabblegram, where you can join in the shopping frenzy by posting a pic of what you’ve grabbed using the hashtag #GrabHappy
At the mo, the app takes you to the retailer site to purchase the item you’ve found, but from mid-June you can buy within the app with just one click when Grabble Checkout is launched.
So go ahead – don’t hang about – get thee to iTunes to download the app and check out the main Grabble site here.
