How To Do Everyday Luxe for Easter.
At the beginning of the season, I made a small pledge to myself to try to get more wear out of the posh bits of my wardrobe rather than leave them to languish in the back of my closet for the odd outing to a cocktail party or dinner in town. Luckily enough those darling designers also decided that everyday luxe should be a bit of a thing this season too. So with that in mind, I figured that Easter might be the perfect time to elevate my look and add some everyday luxe to the long weekend.
I’m wearing a Vince satin skirt paired up with a J.Crew boyfriend cashmere knit. My trusty Stan Smiths for gadding about doing chores and this super sparkly Needle & Thread bomber which makes me smile every time I wear it. (See more Needle & Thread loveliness on this earlier post here).

Everyday luxe… how to wear it.
Working everyday luxe into your outfit isn’t that tricky at all. Simply pick one or two bits that might normally be reserved for going out and segue them into your regular daily uniform. That sequin jacket you have tucked away for cocktail events…pair it up with your jeans and a crisp poplin shirt and go meet your girlfriends for a coffee. That satin skirt which only gets an outing for weddings or christenings… throw on an oversized cashmere knit along with your Stan Smiths and I bet it makes you sashay through your chores a little easier. The point being that once you mix luxe up with the ordinary, it takes your look to a pleasing level which has you feeling as if you’re having a bit of a treat day… definitely worth a try.
