I’ve got a girl crush on….Stella McCartney’s sheer tailoring for Spring/Summer 13

Is it just me, or is Stella McCartney getting better with age? I found her early collections a little dull and was sure she’d only got to where she’d got to through nepotism. But over the past few seasons she’s kind of grown on me. It’s probably more of a case of my style palette maturing rather than any lack of talent on Ms McCartney’s part. So hand on heart, I’ve got to say, I’m loving her stuff these days.

For spring/summer 13 she talked of being inspired by the juxtaposition of boldness and fragility, or tailoring meets delicate with a sporty twist.

My top picks…this bold but sheer dress and sweater combo.

Drop waisted tailoring with a plunging neckline for good measure – add a tank by day and delete by night for that perfect office to evening look.

Monochrome mixed prints – after all next summer can’t all be about pastels…again…

Sheer but sporty separates – a Stella signature look
