If J.Crew kids had been around when I was a girl, I feel sure my parents would have either been rendered bankrupt or I would have found myself working nights in the local factory to pay for a shopping habit which could not be controlled. Whilst I’m a keen advocate of cherry picking cute pieces from the adult collection each season, who knew that the kids collection was harbouring such on trend ‘must-haves’ ?
For fall 13 they’ve nailed a number of key looks, from fur trim to embellished knits to exotic prints. They’ve even tapped into the fab Cambridge Satchel Company and had some colour blocked bags commissioned.
Sadly my only daughter has just grown out of their sizing range (they stock up to a kids size 14 but in my experience the pieces come up small) so apart from No.3 kid who is a boy, I will have to limit my girly purchasing to vicarious picks for godchildren and mates with younger kids…you know who you are!

This cute coat comes in an adult version with extra blingy bits, but the monochrome look paired with their kids costume jewelery looks like a great Holiday dress up option.
