L K Bennett real women runway show

L K Bennett real women hit the runway

Last week I popped into my local L K Bennett store in Guildford to help out with some gal pals who were running a ‘real women’ fashion show in aid of The Persil Waterbabies Atlantic Row. The evening took the form of a runway show using this season’s collection and a late night shop for attendees.

Once the models had been prepped by the lovely team from Guildford College’s Media Makeup Course, and put through their modelling paces by L K Bennett’s resident runway coach Elaine, pre-show nerves were calmed with a slug of fizz as the guests began to arrive.

My part in the proceedings was to identify the key pieces for summer with some of our Notes From a Stylist tags… which actually wasn’t that tricky as they have oodles of on-trend pieces in store.

If you haven’t bought espadrilles this summer then don’t even bother leaving the house… love these Grace leather almond toe ones.

A fun evening which showed that you don’t have to be a super model to pull off a Paris turn.

With thanks to the lovely L. K. Bennett team in Guildford for letting me play.
