Lace sweater … what’s the scoop?
Now that we are well and truly into sweater weather… yay! (I seriously love this time of year). It’s time to get a tad more adventurous with our knits. Yes, we all love a good crew neck or v-neck, and cable knit is definitely the way to go for super freezing days; but how about going out on date night kind of sweaters? What’s out there for us to nail that particular niche? Well….It’s time to say hello to the lace sweater – a snazzy alternate to your everyday woolly pully.
Luckily, the lovely Amy Smilovic over at Tibi has got your back, with this ultimate lace sweater amongst her offerings of slinky tanks and sultry tops for AW14. This chantilly lace sweater has all the hallmarks of a closet keeper. Think fine knit, sheer lace detail and neutral ‘wear it anywhere’ tones and you just about have it wrapped up.

Lace sweater … how to wear it.
If you’re looking for a lace sweater to see you through from office to evening, then this Tibi one is definitely for you. I added this bright Baukjen cropped jacket – I saw this in the flesh at my recent visit to the Baukjen HQ – the quality is awesome for the price point – a great buy to cover the winter brights trend, as well as next spring’s colourful hues. I’ve paired the two of them with these awesome Reiss pleated crop trousers, which ooze casual sophistication in that Audrey Hepburn kind of way.
A pair of Mary Janes is a key shoe style for AW14 – try these cuties from J.Crew for affordable glam. I’m also into all the lovely faux furs around for winter – Unreal Fur are definitely masters of the art of producing goof faux.
I love these Tory Burch enamel earrings – I loved them even more when I spotted them on sale at The Outnet.
If you’ve been eyeing up the cut-out details trend but not quite sure how to hop on board, you can’t go far wrong than with an accessory or two… try this Topshop leather boxy bag for starters.
