London Fashion Week SS15… the bag edit
If there’s one thing I like more than a good pair of heels, it’s got to be a fabulous bag. When I took a turn about the sumptuous setting of Somerset House at London Fashion Week SS15 last month, I headed straight for the accessories in the designer showrooms, and in particular the bags.
For me a fab bag doesn’t have to be the ‘IT’ bag of the season, it doesn’t even have to be particularly practical either, it just has to whisper va-va-voom to me – not much to ask right?
So first up on my must-have list for next spring is any one of these awesome clutches from Mawi London. My lovely buddies bought me one of these beauties for my birthday over the summer, so I have a soft spot for this brand. Still, I was bowled over by the snazzy colour ways for SS15 – I might need to drop a few hints for next years birthday too…
I also loved the India Mimi totes and bags – think slick Celine vibe without the ridiculous price tag. I’m hoping to catch up with designer Charlotte in the not too distant for an up close & personal peek at her studio.
The Hemsley collection caught my eye, mostly because of the delicious pastel hues, but when they mentioned that the Hemsley slice was actually a posh gals lunch box, I had to do a double take. Seriously – inside these little darlings there’s space for your sarnies – and, who said that the fashion industry never eats….?
I also spotted these delicious box clutches which are a fab mix of statement clutch meets pop-art.
Finally who can resist a little rock n’ roll stud work mashed up with a pop of colour? A perfect addition to all those Krav Maga skills you’ve been working on, if you happen to have a confrontation on the last tube home…
What’s your fave bag trend for next season?
