Nicole Farhi … my early obsession
My Nicole Farhi lustings started early on in my working life. I was based in Covent Garden in one of my first jobs, fresh out of college on a meagre wage, but with an avarice for designer fashion. Luckily one of my buddies managed to get us on the sample sale list for a couple of awesome fashion brands, one of which was Nicole Farhi.
We were intrepid in those days and happy to pile into the jumble sale/no holds barred/smackdown that was sample sale shopping. We are talking way before the internet, and delicious sites like The Outnet, where you can now snag designer duds from the comfort of your own home, without having to suffer the ignominy of stripping down to your undies in a corner of the sample sale room to try something on.
We always had our beady little fashion-obsessed eyes on the Nicole Farhi chunky knits, sublime shirts and buttery soft leather jackets. Fast forward to today, and I’m happy to say that the brand is still wowing in those departments.
Nicole Farhi Spring 14
This spring Nicole Farhi has got a seriously to-die-for collection. At their recent press day I spotted a number of key spring trends in pieces which have already made my hit list.
Pastels for work and play…
Perfect shirts in an array of patterns and hues…
Monochrome must-haves …
Sorbet coloured knits…
Spring collections start dropping in stores towards the end of this month, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for some of these pieces, which will certainly be workers in anyones wardrobe.
