Was it just my mum who spent the whole time telling me to put my gloves on as a kid, or did the rest of you suffer the same ignominy. There I was all set with my coolest outfit du jour ready to hit the mean streets of suburbia, when a shrill little voice would call out “don’t forget your gloves…”
