Outdoor Living with The White Company.
As season’s go, one of my favourites has got to be when we start shaking out the cobwebs on the outdoor cushions and hubs gets slightly overly obsessive about jet washing the decking before anyone can set foot on it. This is closely followed by me dragging every available piece of mismatched plastic picnicware down to our BBQ area in the vain hope that there will be nothing but al fresco dining for the rest of the season.
This year I’m feeling much more like a grown up as I’ve teamed up with one of my favourite homewares companies – The White Company, to bring you a post on outdoor living to celebrate the onset of summer… and guess what… they’ve got stuff that matches!
As a family, one of our favourite summer pastimes is to set up a big communal lunch around the garden table on our decking area and generally while away an afternoon hanging out and enjoying some time together. The new Outdoor Living collection from The White Company is chock full of typically gorgeous items which transform any outdoor space into something which looks like it comes straight out of a magazine shoot. From acrylic glassware (so no more mismatched plastic stuff for me!) to rustic tableware, amazing new wooden platters and salad servers right through to citronella candles to keep the pesky wasps away.

After lunch, it’s a lounging fest at our house, so these outdoor living accessories hit exactly the right note for slouching and catching up on that backlog of magazines I keep meaning to get through, while the kids are hopefully reading something highly intellectual as it’s exam season and all!

Seagrass basket, milking stool.
If it’s a really sunny day, then it’s sun hats at the ready, a slap of sunscreen on and all of our outdoor areas kick into action.
