Party heels … stack of 6

Party Heels … yes, you need them

For my stack of 6 this weekend it’s time to take a look at party heels. If you are hitting the party season hard in the days ahead, a great pair of heels are going to be your best friend.

For me, the thing that always makes an outfit pop is a pair of statement heels which grabs people’s attention. I was lucky enough to bag a pair of Valentino Rockstud heels last weekend in Paris thanks to hubs and his generous Christmas spirit. Needless to say they’ve had a few outings this party season (prior to being surreptitiously wrapped, as if unworn and opened on the big day…cough… )

The point being, that these party heels have pretty much made my party season. Schlepping up on the train to London on Friday I had said party heels in tow, minding their own business, when a complete stranger (guy, good looking, early 30’s) stopped me as I got off the train and proceeded to ‘big up’ my shoes  with no prompting whatsoever.

I’m not advocating that everyone should take out a second mortgage and head to the high end heels stores, there are plenty of blinged up babies out there in a pretty price range….see below these little darlings from lovely Matches Fashion who currently have a fab sale on their US site.

Whatever your price bracket might be, think sparkly, think high, think shoegasmic…

 Party heels…how to wear them

I’m a big fan of cropped pants this party season. If I’m pairing my party heels with anything it’s going to be a pair of brocade or jacquard cropped pants and a slouchy knit.

For a more formal take on the look, work your party heels with a ladylike tux or a cocktail dress for New Year’s Eve.
