Peter Pilotto for Target … what to wear this week

Peter Pilotto for Target … the skinny.

I love a collab as much as the next gal. I was right there in the pre-event press-night buying frenzy at H&M New York when the Marni collection hit the store, I also hot footed it to my local Target a few seasons ago to snag the Missoni collaboration and the Calypso St Barth one too. So when I heard Peter Pilotto for Target was going to be available from Net-a-Porter, it was a no-brainer, I needed to take a peek.

The Peter Pilotto label, created by duo Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos (who met whilst studying at Antwerp’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts), has been punting out delightful collections for a number of years. They manage to combine their particular talents, leaning on Pilotto’s skills with textiles and prints, and De Vos’s ability to turn silhouette and drape into a thing of beauty. The price points of their beautiful creations are pretty high, so with the Peter Pilotto for Target collection, there’s a chance for us regular folk to get our hands on their pieces.

Peter Pilotto for Target … how to wear it.

The best thing about the Peter Pilotto label, is its ability to deliver pattern mash up craziness, and this collaboration for Target sticks close to the design principles of the main label.  If individual and creative looks are in your style DNA, then this collection is worth a look.

I love this jersey dress, but on my hunt for all things ‘busy’ on the pattern front, also fell for this cute J.Crew floral jacket.

Block heels have been all over the ‘street style’ folk during fashion weeks in New York and London, check out these cuties from Topshop.

I’m also into the backpack for spring. What better way to keep both  hands free for rummaging through shopping rails? This Whistles one is gorgeous and also comes in a bright white.
