Reiss AW15… winter trends nailed
If you’re looking for a brand who can help you nail a number of winter trends this upcoming season without having to dip into the kids college fund, you won’t go far wrong with Reiss. When I popped into their AW15 press day earlier this summer in their plush London HQ, I was so busy making mental notes on what I’d like in my own closet, I almost forgot to get on with the job in hand of shooting the gorgeous garments winking at me from the mannequins.
For starters this winter you want to be thinking about cozying up in shearling and furs. Whether you’re a fan of faux or the real thing, the fuzzy stuff is set to hustle it’s way into our hearts and closets either in the form of a gob-smackingly gorgeous coat or jacket, or simply as a big stole or scarf.
With coats for next season make sure you snap a sumptuous one up to cover up all those shimmering sparkly party dresses which are on their way come the festive season.
Next up you want to be thinking about neutrals to plump out your wardrobe. Grey is a big hitter again for the AW15.
Whilst burgundy is definitely the new black…
I’m all over anything cable knit… it reminds me of those sad cable jumpers I used to try and make back in my knitting days… luckily for me there are plenty of choices out there this season to feed my obsession and knitwear is set to be a big story for AW15. I especially love this knit paired with these cute Prince of Wales check shorts.
Talking of the checkered stuff – stand by for plenty of old-school prints being reinvented for AW15, style with luxe layering and a touch of metallic sparkle to bring them bang up to date. Think also about investing in a suit for the new season and get ready to dress like a dude.
Also love this mini Effren box bag...
Our AW15 seasonal trend report will be out towards the end of August. If you’d like to sign up for more trend tips then come and join the party by filling in the subscription button on our front page here.
A few of these pieces are online at Reiss right now, but more will be dropping into store from the beginning of September.
