Satin trousers for spring

If you’ve had your eye on the luxe wear trends of late, you might have spotted the odd pair of satin trousers popping up on chicly clad IT girls or Snapchat addicted bloggers. Hot on the heels of the lingerie looks which are headed our way for spring, there’s a sleek satin micro trend bubbling under which we can all adopt no matter what shape or size we are.

My favourite incarnation of the satin takeover has got to be satin trousers. From sports-luxe joggers to wide-as-you-like palazzo pants right on through to culottes and tapered crops – there’s definitely something here for everyone.

With the miracles of modern technology, there are satin mix garments which have a touch of give in them allowing you to take advantage of this luxury fabric as an everyday option, and not just save it for Sunday best. I paired these Theory satin trousers this week for a night out at the theatre to see Adrian Lester in Red Velvet at The Garrick, with a Jigsaw Breton sweater, my trusty J.Crew leather biker, Aquazzura heels and a Chloe Drew bag.
