One of the most pleasing things about the recent Tod’s Fall 13 shoe and handbag presentation, apart from the dramatic irony of me checking in at the Bond Street store directly behind the lovely ladies from Vogue, was that Tod’s seem to have nailed the groove factor for next season.
Yes, we all know Tod’s for the classic loafer and bag combo beloved of the late Princess of Wales and any number of aspirational Sloanes, but for Fall 13 the design team seem to have really got their mojo back.
In shoes we saw skinny heels on monochrome ponyskin bootties, along with embellished loafers and an awesome pair of hand painted metallic snakeskin flats which are definitely on my hit list.
For bags there was more bedazzling on classic styles which worked a treat, as well as a smattering of shearling paired with dreamy neutrals and the odd pop of colour.
