Sorbet bags … spring must-have
If you’ve been trawling through the ‘New In’ sections of fashion websites as much as I have this week – you might have noticed that we are about to have a serious sorbet bags crush-fest this spring. Forget the tired old cobalt blue and oxblood you’ve been rocking this winter. It’s time to move on to pastures new with pastel hues, which you will spend more time drooling over than using for any practical sense…like as a bag…
I was lucky enough to snag this lovely Sophie Hulme tote in the sales the other week, (similar colour here) and have had so many compliments on it since I’ve been brave enough to venture out with it between downpours. It got me to thinking, perhaps I need more of this delicate hue …?

Sorbet Bags … instant wardrobe spring update
The great thing about working a trend through the medium of accessories, is that you can switch up your last season pieces with a guilt-free smugness. If anyone questions your reasoning, you can dive straight in there with the ‘practical purchase’ retort. And better still, if there are fiscal prudence issues under scrutiny (which there often are in my house!) you can blarble on about simply dipping your toe into a trend by buying an accessory, rather than blowing a months salary on a whole outfit.
To pull off the sorbet bags for spring, they work best with simple neutrals. Opt for whites or nudes to play off the subtle impact of your colour choice. Or go full on, and pair with other sorbet hues to nail the colour blocking trend to boot.
