Sports luxe … what’s the scoop?

I don’t take much persuading to throw on a casual pair of trousers at the best of times, but when you make them slouchy sports luxe trousers, then I’m first in line. The sports luxe trend has been bubbling around for the last few seasons, but this summer has come into its own with the hoards of oversized sweatshirts and jogging pants which are showing up in stores.

There’s a clue in the name of this versatile trend. The luxe part of sports luxe is all about modern hi-tec fabrics mixed with metallic overtones. Think elasticated hems but in a good way, fluid shapes but in a fun way, and cute notes like sporty stripes in alternative textures or fabrics.
