Spring uniform
Everyone has a uniform each season which they revert to no matter the occasion. My spring uniform normally has something to do with a jaunty nautical stripe.
Add to this a much-used denim jean and a well-cut jacket and you pretty much have my stalwart dressing to get out the door look pegged. (Takes a moment to wonder why it is then that she has 2 wardrobes cluttered with clothes she never actually wears and vows to spring clean as soon as has finished writing this blog… Oh and downloaded & read this week’s Grazia… And maybe popped up to the Kings Road to see who has a new drop of clothes...)
This spring is no different and I caught myself just yesterday heading up to the Mulberry showrooms to peek at their AW15 catwalk collection dressed in exactly that.

Granted the nautical stripe was bejewelled thanks to this cute sleeveless top I nabbed from J.Crew last year (now on sale at their factory store here). As well as more embellishment on these Miu Miu pointy sneakers which accidentally fell into my possession whilst whizzing through Liberty... similar here and here. Liberty has currently got a little cardholder promotion going on which is worth a snoop too. Jeans are also J.Crew
The jacket is The Kooples who are genius at producing feminine tailoring which fits just right and feels like a big hitting designer quality but with more of a high street price tag. Similar jackets here at Matches
The bag was bucket (natch) from L.K. Bennett – who’s AW15 offering I had seen the day before, and am pleased to report that the bucket bag is here for another round next season (though I’d snag one in an oxblood or wine colour if you want to be bang on pre trend). They currently have 25% with Grazia online and instore with the code GRS15
Here’s one more peek at those divine Miu Miu sneakers…
