Apart from the 2 old codgers from the local wine society (who were busy trying to recruit female guests to the Stepford wine appreciation society), the Samuel Owen gallery, in Greenwich CT, was rocking with new school, unpretentious happening dudes last night.
It was the grand opening of the ‘On Every Street’ exhibit, a celebration of street art from over 30 artists that is set to shake up the old guard. Not that the old dudes would have known their Banksy from their Keith Haring, their D*Face from their Blek Le Rat. Luckily Greenwich has Lee & Cindy Milazzo of Samuel Owen Gallery to thank for this new take on art in our hood.
This exhibition curated by Michael De Feo brings together some big hitters from the street art scene in style. The exhibit runs through November 3 and will be open for viewing during gallery hours: Monday-Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
