Behind the scenes with The White Company
This week one of my favourite lifestyle company’s The White Company asked me to show them my interior style for a new series they are running on their blog called White Spaces. It wasn’t until I actually took a stroll around the different living spaces we have in our house that I realised quite how often their products appear and influence my interior style.
Most of my home interiors start off with a neutral base – which is perfect for accommodating my shopaholic tendencies at The White Company. Using creams, whites and natural woods I then try to bring a slightly different hue to each space. Depending on the time of year you will find more or less impactful colour adorning the chairs and sofas through my favourite decor medium of cushions. You can blame another addiction to Designers Guild for that. So generally summers see more bright and bold colours, whereas in winter I tend to switch colour for neutrals but with piles of texture to bring that homely hygge vibe.
I’m a bit of a sucker for mixing up vintage and modern, so my bedroom vanity space is a mash up of this gorgeous mirror (which I picked up from Lillian August whilst living in the States), and the simple glass console table.
I borrowed the photographic skills of my lovely friend Clare Walpole to shoot the images – you can normally find her outside shooting gorgeous dog images – check out her work here. While no.3 kid Max was roped in for some kitchen scenes.

Also if you happen to be in NYC anytime soon, The White Company just opened their first store this week at 115 5th Avenue. When we lived there, I used to order all their fabulous items from their USA website, but if you get the chance, nothing quite beats a proper meander around the inviting spaces they always manage to create in their stores.
To shop some of my fave pieces in store right now and also the items which you can see in these images and are already happily ensconced in my home…click the images below.
P.S. If you want to read more lovely blogs from some inspiring women, I’ve shared this post on Not Dressed as Lamb’s Saturday Linkup here… pop over for a peek, there will definitely be a new blog or two you will fall in love with.
