I’m definitely a big fan of leather accents this season. Last winter I was on the fence with the leather sleeve fad, but shopping in the Meatpacking District in New York over the summer I happened upon a buttery soft Theory cream sweater with a leather panel in the front. It has that sweatshirt kind of vibe which is hot this season and easy to dress up or down.
As it’s been pouring with rain in London, I’ve also been digging out my wet weather gear. I had completely forgotten about this cute vintage trench from London Fog which I snagged in a retro store in Amsterdam years ago. I switched out it’s tired old buttons for a few with a pop of colour to breathe a bit of life into it, and now it has a nice Mad Men vibe about it.
I’m still working these Kurt Geiger heels to death. Oddly comfortable despite the heel height. Seriously, I ran for the last train home at Waterloo in them last week after birthday dinner with a crowd of buddies, and not a twisted ankle or a blister in sight.
