Tulle skirt … what’s the story?
Over the past few fashion weeks, the tulle skirt has been making an appearance or two on the street style front. Having never been blessed with a ballerina’s bod, I figure this is the only time I’m going to get my hands on one and actually get to wear it out. The only trouble is I’m not a typical girly girl and much prefer the comfort of my jeans, so when trying to work this little trend into my outfit choice, I had to reach for my equally trusty leather jacket to ensure I stuck within my comfort zone.

The tulle skirt is a fab addition to your closet for spring. It can work equally well dressed down for the office with the help of a cute sweater or simple tee, or you can amp up the glam factor by pairing with a silk cami for a night out on the tiles. This one is by Needle & Thread from Next, I’m also loving this lemon one.
I wore this skirt to the recent Anthropologie and Kit Kemp event which you can read about here. I paired it with these divine Kurt Geiger heels and this cute jacquard-sleeve knit Chloe top and Chloe Drew bag (which had inadvertently come into my possession whilst passing Liberty during fash week….oops!)
The leather biker jacket is an old one from Whistles, this one from River Island is similar, or you can find similar spring pastel colours here or here (cheaper).
