Veils & Lace … delicious details with Louise Selby
It’s not often I get to photograph bridal wear, so when I got the chance to head to the Louise Selby studio in Kew to preview some of her gorgeous veils and lace jackets, which will be available online soon, I hot-footed it over there with my trusty Nikon in hand.
Louise Selby has been designing award winning bespoke wedding dresses for stylish brides for a long time, but she is about to branch out to offer a new online service for veils and lace jackets. I last popped into her studio before Christmas to see her Spring/Summer15 collection which was uber-delicious. But this time around I was besotted with the diaphanously delicate veils (which seemed to go on forever) and her cute lace cover-ups.
The devil is in the detail as my old ma likes to say, and when you see these babies up close and personal you can begin to appreciate why Louise has been at the top of her game all these years. The attention to detail is to die for…
I also spotted this fab tulle maxi skirt with embellished detailing on the waist – I’m thinking cocktail evening appropriate if paired with a 50’s cream cashmere sweater… Is it just me, or does everyone else always jump at an opportunity to shop wherever they are??
So, if you happen to have had someone pop the big question to you over Valentines weekend – it’s never too early to start thinking about your wedding look – head on over to the Louise Selby website to oggle at the rest of her delightful designs.
