As the summer approaches and the Notes From a Stylist blog begins to wind up for the busy kids-on-vacation-new-puppy-arriving trauma-blog-revamp-time ahead, I’m sneaking in a couple of luxury trips before all hell breaks loose. With a small tripette to Venice under my belt, with some of my seriously long-term pals (we’re talking mates since we were 2 years old here) take a peek at our first stop, The Cipriani.
I’d been to the Cipriani years ago with hubs, but was pregnant with one of the kids, so spent most of my time with my head down the toilet – lovely! This time around it was great to experience the whole setting. Loved the welcome committee for starters…
The Casanova garden … apparently the dude actually snuck in here a few times to woo his ladies back in the day.
The pool is just divine – huge, tranquil and kept spick and span with the magic of salt water – which is a definite bonus when a gal has just lathered up the night before with fake tan, and fears the evil chlorine waters and their mighty bleaching powers.
Then, as the sun began to set on our first day, it was time to road test the odd Bellini or two…
